meredith christine is a designer, artist and creative director focusing on experiential conceptualization in both the digital and physical space. she is the founder and creative director of up-and-coming brand fool’s gold, and has become a sought-after collaborator. previous collaborations include google, google pixel, amara resort, peter thomas roth and many more.
While her road to entrepreneurship wasn’t traditional, it seems that her path was one she was destined for. An undergraduate degree in Studio Art paired with a graduate degree in Architecture honed her eye while teaching her about spatial relationships, connectivity of people to the built environment, social entrepreneurship and sustainability. The foundation was laid for a desire to pursue design, art and fashion in a holistic manner, centered on provoking emotions through experience of brand, space, art and ideas.
Fool’s Gold explores the idea of subversion; taking an item that’s ostensibly intended to adorn women, something delicate and pretty, and turning it into an expression of defiance and strength instead. Many of the line’s statement pieces are still delicate, but the message is loud and serves as a symbolic reminder of resistance and solidarity. Each item is meticulously designed to capture the timeless, bold and elegant nature of the empowered woman.
Meredith oversees her brand and projects out of her downtown headquarters. The space is part showroom and part studio. The showroom is filled with her design and collaborations with designers from all over the world. The studio focuses on visual thinking and design in the fields of fashion, jewelry, accessories, beauty, art, travel and culture. The spectrum is wide: collaborations, design projects, products, films, identities, brand building, creative direction and much more.
